Australian Mist

The Australian Mist was first introduced to Rose and myself by Mary Stuart who had recently returned from Australia, very excited about them. I had not heard of them before but we soon learnt as much as we could about them and when Mary asked us if we would like to join her in getting them recognized in Europe we jumped at the chance. We had never been in at the beginning of anything like this so we were very excited to be asked. In February 2007 Mary imported the first two Queens into the country Nintu Jelly Wave and Thera Linaria. Both queens have had litters and we have a lilac spotted girl from Jelly, we have named her Miss All Australian Beauty and a lilac spotted boy from Linaria, called Sea Mist. They will be our foundation lines. This will be a long term venture. We are hoping that we will be accepted for a breeding program by Felis Britannica and we hope that we will be joined over the years by more interested breeders and friends looking for a different breed of cat. Eventually we hope that the Australian Mist will receive full recognition by FIFe. Thanks go to Dr Truda Straede the founder of the breed who has worked so diligently with the breed for over twenty years, has received much acclaim for her work in achieving recognition by all the cat fancy governing councils in Australia, and continues to do so.
